This park provides a setting where  families can relish quality time together, whether it’s enjoying an idyllic picnic, participating in invigorating summer exercise classes, hosting large gatherings, capturing beautiful wedding  photos. The park’s security Has been enhanced with excellent lighting and surveillance cameras, ensuring a safe and secure environment for all park enthusiasts.

The renovation and revitalisation of Elizabeth Park aim to showcase its many incredible amenities, encouraging the community to make the most of this space. Recent clean-up initiatives, led by the better. bellville. together. waste team, in collaboration with the GTP and Friends of Elizabeth Park, are pivotal in uniting Bellville’s residents. These efforts foster a collective responsibility to preserve the park’s  natural beauty and promote its use.

As a unique initiative, individuals also have the chance to purchase a plot of land within the park:

 Elizabeth Park What3Words Fundraising Initiative:

Using the what3words methodology, 3×3-metre virtual plots have been identified and allocated across Elizabeth Park, each available for only R1000 as part of a fundraising initiative.

Once a plot has been sold and allocated, a commemorative plaque will be designed and manufactured as a token of appreciation for the sponsor. This plaque will be placed on a fundraising wall near the Elizabeth Park area, recognising the many partners, sponsors, and community contributors who have supported this incredible initiative.

The Friends of Elizabeth Park warmly welcome suggestions and extend an invitation to all enthusiastic volunteers eager to contribute their time and energy to this remarkable park. They encourage the use of the park’s spaces for meet-ups, picnics, markets, health classes, and entertainment events.
