City welcomes waste education initiative by CPUT and The Greater Tygerberg Partnership

On Tuesday, 11 June 2024, Alderman Grant Twigg, the Mayoral Committee Member for Urban Waste Management, addressed students at the launch of Waste Education Week at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT) in collaboration with The Greater Tygerberg Partnership (GTP). As part of their campaign, CPUT has officially launched their three-bin separation system of organics, recyclables and non-recyclables on all their campuses with the aim to be the first zero-waste university in Cape Town.Read More
