The better. bellville. together. Protea waste to art sculptures

overview.

Created by local artist: Monique Fagan of Junk a New.

These Protea sculptures are made from repurposed objects such as old street cleaning brushes and broken bins removed from the Bellville Public Transport Interchange that were replaced with new, separation at source bins.

Proteas are part of the Sand Fynbos which is indigenous to the broader Bellville area. From waste to beautiful art, we can create change with education, action and community involvement.

These Protea sculptures are a gift to the people of Bellville to celebrate this!
